  1. 0You are in a 20 foot depression floored
  2. with bare dirt. Set into the dirt is a
  3. strong steel grate mounted in concrete.
  4. A dry streambed leads into the
  5. depression.
  6. #1You are in a small chamber beneath a
  7. 3 by 3 steel grate to the surface. A
  8. low crawl over cobbles leads inward to
  9. the west.
  10. #2You are crawling over cobbles in a low
  11. passage. There is a dim light at the
  12. east end of the passage.
  13. #3You are in a debris room filled with
  14. stuff washed in from the surface. A low
  15. wide passage with cobbles becomes
  16. plugged with mud and debris here, but
  17. an awkward canyon leads upward and
  18. west. A note on the wall says, 'Magic
  19. word - xyzzy'.
  20. #4You are in an awkward sloping
  21. east/west canyon.
  22. #5You are in a splendid chamber 30 feet
  23. high. The walls are frozen rivers of
  24. orange stone. An awkward canyon and a
  25. good passage exit from east and west
  26. sides of the chamber.
  27. #6At your feet is a small pit breathing
  28. traces of white mist. An east passage
  29. ends here except for a small crack
  30. leading on.
  31. #7You are at one end of a vast hall
  32. stretching forward out of sight to the
  33. west. There are openings to either
  34. side. Nearby, a wide stone staircase
  35. leads downward. The hall is filled with
  36. wisps of white mist swaying to and fro
  37. almost as if alive. A cold wind blows
  38. up the staircase. There is a passage
  39. to the top of a dome behind you.
  40. #8This is a low room with a crude note
  41. on the wall. The note says, 'You won't
  42. get it up the steps!'
  43. #9You are on the east bank of a fissure
  44. slicing clear across the hall. The
  45. mist is quite thick here, and the
  46. fissure is too wide to jump.
